The wagon-master has requested that Saturday October 22nd Foray be cancelled due to forecasted high winds. Read her message below:
Our members have setup a booth in building 500 at Evergreen State Fair in Monroe. If you want more information about our club and mushrooms this would be a good place to ask some questions.
Saturday, August 13th: SCMS summer picnic at Anna Oppermann’s home. Noon till over, plan for potluck serving to begin around 1:00 PM. Don’t forget to bring a dish to share, eating utensils, favorite beverage, outdoor chairs and a white elephant for a fund raiser for the club. For complete information see SCMS latest newsletter.
May 7th Foray is still on. The question is if it makes sense to come and hunt? Our spring hunting season is late by week or two. We have seen some morels just breaking ground in few spots. So if you decide to come for an outing expect to find a few, if you are in the right spot. Sam, the wagon-master will be at the meeting spot specified in the newsletter. Mosquito’s are not out yet, some wildflowers are blooming, so it is not all bad. Decision is yours if you want to make the trip.
